Point well taken. I am a huge fan if the late great Gilles, and yes, he used to hang the back end out a lot, purely out of exuberance.
I also do recognize that this movement is popular with many. Just as when I was a young'un, I was excited and participated in social movements that my parents didn't approve of. It's their thing, it's not right or wrong, it's just their thing, what they like to do. And yes, some of those drivers are honestly skilled at what I do. It's just my personal bias that if you want to look fast, go fast, don't pretend. I always used to tell my friends, that if you can see a loud car, it's not fast, just loud. Fast and loud cars aren't seen, they are gone before you can get a glance...
