This guy is a smooth operator
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

Concerning the movie, my fear is that it turns out to be a bad one, like most of the auto racing movies (with the possible exception of the classic "Le Mans").
Concerning Sodder, we could have the first ban of the forum caused by passional reasons!!! :P

Its all in good fun, theres no reason to go yeilding the ban hammer...If I was serious though that would be creepy and a little weird.

As long as the movie dosn't come out looking like too fast and too furious I'll probably go see it.

What was wrong with Sly's "Driven"? Actually, I've never seen the movie. I just heard it was horrible. But, apparently, it was supposed to be a movie about F1, however Bernie wouldn't co-operate.

Anyways, here is some information about Villevenuve's movie:

Thanks for the link, f1.redbaron. I took a look at the director, Christian Duguay, and he's done some interesting movies, including a few action films. I recall a few of them, and they are pretty decent, put together well, with good pacing. The writer, Malcolm Clarke, has done a lot of stuff about documentaries, cancer patients, holocaust, the US gun issues, vigilantism. So he appears to be willing to wrestle with difficult issues, and he doesn't put on the candy coated, feel-good movie with plastic action heroes involved.
From the people involved, this appears to be a serious look inside Jacque's head and the realities of life. It's definitely going to be serious, and I doubt if we will see any Hollywood BS spilling over. This might be good.
