Funny picture Manchild

I hope that he'll drive better in two weeks, because Renault won't win the Constructors' title this season if Fisico keeps driving like he is at the moment!

Yeah very funny  . I hesitated sunday to create a "Giancarlo" topic, and thought I would have been too agressive, as I was really angry about his counterperformance.

EDIT: btw, you forgot "Bad Luck", wich is the most usual expression of him.

He had a bad race, but dont forget he won the Malaysian GP he just needs to find that sweet spot again, because Renault are going to need him for constructors championship, oh and Fisi is going to be Team Leader next year you watch, alot of reports about that on other websites, everybody knows he has the speed. Last year he just had terrible luck all season, this is his breakthrough year, he needs to step it up, but he seems to be doing a trulli, where it goes off and on.
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

I noticed the 'Gearbox failure' name tag first but it took me a few seconds to realise the 'traction' and then the other comments.

Very good, a credit to your design skills.

Unfortunately, not enough embroided logos for all his excuses

About the GF / Alesi comparison, I'd note a slight difference:
While Jean always disappointed me standing in the gravel trap, most of times Giancarlo disappoints me on track...

So, who is the worst? I let you choose

I don't recall Alesi being a guy of lame excuses (but I was a fan anyway...).
He was more a guy that pushed many times too hard, trying to overcome the limitations of the car. And I don't recall him ever being driving the best car back then...

I wouldn't blame him too much over the last race, remember the overtaking was impossible. All he could really do is gain some places over the pit-stops. Alonso was faster by over 1.5secs each lap then Schumi and still couldn't pass him.

I'll still kick him in the butt for that qualifying cock-up.

:D
The trouble with the rat-race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.

Wow...Michael had really rattled your cage, eh, Manchild?

I'd be willing to bet money that you would not have been critical of Fisichella's underachievements had Alonso been able to beat Michael yesterday. Right?

No... I'm pleased with Alonso's drive because it proves that Renault is still dominant car even with old engine. Overtaking Schuey would be "cherry on top" but I have no problem with how it eneded.

When Alesi in in question I also agree that he was much better driver than Fisi or Trulli. At least he had several great moves in his career.

Great picture Manchild - took a few secs to work out what was happening

I don't see Alesi & Fizzy in the same category. Fizzy, lots of people say he fast, a beautiful driver - maybe so. He's not a hairy scary racer..........Alonso is.

Alesi - big big heart..........I have one image of him (apart from the Tyrell in Phoenix ;)) - sliding that awful twin floor Ferrari in the wet somehwere way back when.

Remembering that Ferrari - it was awfull, but was a good looker..............

I never saw Alesi race properly (Prosts don't count) but from my understanding he was always trying hard with an uncompetitive car.

I have seen the vids of his only win and I must say I haven't seen a driver happier anywhere. Even Rubens crying didn't come close to the joy and emotions Alesi showed.

The two are uncomparable.
