Alright, I need your help.
Some time ago, when I asked you for the good software for video editting, you gave me the name of that same software. I've searched the internet, and I've noticed that you've gotta pay for it. The problem is that I don't want any professional software. I don't know how to use it, I don't want to learn, I just want something cheap, simple, and something that will enable me to post some clips on this website.
This is the situation. I've got a Panasonic DVD recorder (I don't know whether the brand makes any difference, but I figured it may save some time if it does) that, once the disc is formatted, uses *.vob format. I've done some research, and I've read that it is basically the MPEG-2. So, I decided to rename it into that format (I'm more familiar with the latter format). Unfortunately, it won't play it the way it is supposed to...i.e. it will play 30 secs (or so) and will skip over 5-6 minutes, then another 30 sec, etc...
What I would like to know is, how can I record certain portions of that file (say 20 sec from the race), in a format that can be seen by everybody (I'm guessing it will be something like *.MPEG, or *.WMP)
Sorry for bothering you, but you seem to be pretty good with this kind of stuff...
