Are we comfortable with this openly stated alliance in F1?
I mean, the two largest teams on the grid being able to bend events to their benefit.
It seems that it is a bit abusive in terms of balance of power.
Thoughts?
I seem to have missed something: how does the alliance work? Is it official?
That is not what was reported.
βWe beat each other like crazy on the track and try to get every tenth of a second of advantage, but at the same time, we are 100% aligned on our thoughts in Formula One and our strategic actions in Formula One. We are good friends.β
And this is just your personal opinion!Zynerji wrote: β20 Jan 2018, 21:15When any agreement between teams influences the governance of the sport, it is inherently uncompetitive, as they simply apply their might to make it that only one of them can win a championship, excluding the other participants due to the ability to block changes that would level the field.
Again, that's your opinion.
The luxury tax is nothing more than a PR distraction. The Penalty isn't nearly high enough imo to help the low budget teams.
That's because their are 28 other teams, not 8 like in F1. Not to mention every team is equal when it comes to votes, unlike in F1 where Ferrari has special veto privileges.
