Now that the cause of Barrichello's crash is officially commented to be exessive stress on the upper left rear wishbones, i was wondering if it'll affect the engine in any way. Would vibration or excessive force distrub engine operations in any other way?

Don't think so.....the engine is the main producer of vibration in a F1 car...so the extra vibration of the suspension probably will not affect the engine that much.....
BUT....(I love this word).....hahaha....if you hit a curb too hard the impact might produce a vibration that might affect the fuel supply (at the fuel pump) on the engine!
But I'm not too sure.....if anyone has an opinion.....just say so...so we can discuse!
