what is barrichello thinking..

Post

did you read barrichellos statement on the honda team?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsp ... 013900.stm
dont know what he is thinking releasing a statement like this. Yes we all understand jenson is the golden boy at honda but by saying the team is unexperience will not help him i think!

It's never good for a team to publicy place blame on anyone even it is completly their fault. It's not good for Barrichello and it is not good for Honda. Rule of thumb you praise in public and scorn in private.

What barrichello said might be really true but this is not the way to say it and that too to the press. I guess he just wanted people to know that the fault isnt his so that they dont sign him off

Even though its not his fault he shouldnt blame it on the team. i think this will further add to his worries..

It may not have been the best thing for Rubens to say what he said, but lets be honest, Honda really need a kick up the arse and get some pace into that car. I know its comming, but it should have been there from the start.

I agree with everyone's sentiment here and his comments will not please the Japanese who will remember them. However for a man like Rubens, who on his day could give Shumi a tough time, the beginning of this season must have been very frustrating, especially if it was as simple as a brake disk/pad combination.

The team has to listen to the driver if they are to move forward, look at Jacques at Sauber, yes part of it was his 1 year sabatical but part of it was the team dragging their feet about the development and setup required by their driver.

Well, I do not know about you guys, but I think it is important to learn from your failures and not be ashamed of them. You do not deny them, unless you want everybody to think that you are a guy that worries only about appearances. For a some of us, almost all other comments on failures seem fake and artificia. You are even saying they HAVE to be fake and artificial... Rubens made this comments after he had some success, pleeeze.

If you work with latins, you better learn to comment on your failures in a corteous manner and at the proper time, that's it.

Besides, it is more than generous from Rubens to say that he would like Button to win a race and that "this is a mountain we both have to climb". This is what we call simpathy: a strange mix of sincerity, humility and prudence.

Brakes is Rubens biggest problem, it says he dabs the brakes harder than Jenson but just can't feel the bite of the brakes. He aslo said he took so long to adapt with his RA106 car. Personally I tihnk Honda is concentrating on their 26-year-old shining star Jenson Button. Rubens is complaining on the brake system of Honda, which he took ages to adapt with the RA106 brake system.
Never regret what you do, but only regret what you don't do. - Jenson Button

Only a 9 time winner? After five seasons with Ferrari? Interestingly he started racing around the same time as DC, car competitivity has been the same on average but DC still managed an extra 4wins. Makes me wonder why David is with midfield RBR and Rubens with 'front runner' Honda.

I think the comments could be taken out of context like the comment made by alonso acouple of races ago, maybe he will apologize and say he was taken out of context, because you do not want cause animosity within your team.
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.
