I don't speak French but that was actually pretty good. I will look out for it round here. (still not as good as me!)

I liked the music very much. The singing is not bad as well, but it can be a bit better. Though, his music has something very special, listening to that first song.

Talent? You don't hear it very much anymore.

I like how he's playing guitar. Since I don't speak French I can't judge it but I'd expect more agresive singing style (like Joe Cocker or so).

What has that to do with my opinion on JV's musical talent.

Plus I've just remembered since England are gonna qualify for alot of the matches, it will end up being a huuuugggeeee list , so i'll get rid of it.

Music is a feeling it doesnt matter whether understand the language. My fave songs are in languages I dont understand. I like it and I think its very good even if its not my style.
Long experience has taught me this about the status of mankind with regards to matters requiring thought. The less people know and understand about them, the more positively they attempt to argue concerning them; while on the other hand, to know and understand a multitude of things renders men cautious in passing judgement upon anything new. - Galileo..

Ok, ok... I admit it

It has nothing to do with me not speaking French – I’m not impressed with his singing so far while the sound on the other hand is really mature and defined (unlike crap from MTV).

In this first single JV doesn't sound like Gilbert Becaud or Charles Aznavour for example but more like male version of Vanessa Paradis so I hope his singing is different in other songs. Somehow I’ve expected his singing to suit his driving style

I've always thought that Villeneuve (or Montoya or even Alonso) are passionate, not aggresive, a difference not always clear (at least to me) in a nordic language. Passion and compassion have the same root: "patior", that you can only translate unto "suffer" in english, when in a latin language means a vehement appetite... It sounds like bulls***, even to me, when I try to express it in english. It is like the difference between "ser" and "estar": there is no difference at all in english ("to be" and "to be").

Certainly, Villeneuve's eyes are different from Cocker's.

Well, I added him to my friend's list... I wonder if any other racers have a myspace (or they were smart enough to avoid myspace)
