Music is a feeling it doesnt matter whether understand the language. My fave songs are in languages I dont understand. I like it and I think its very good even if its not my style.I like how he's playing guitar. Since I don't speak French I can't judge it but I'd expect more agresive singing style (like Joe Cocker or so).
I've always thought that Villeneuve (or Montoya or even Alonso) are passionate, not aggresive, a difference not always clear (at least to me) in a nordic language. Passion and compassion have the same root: "patior", that you can only translate unto "suffer" in english, when in a latin language means a vehement appetite... It sounds like bulls***, even to me, when I try to express it in english.
