New updates

I'll send a newsletter about this too, but here's what's new since today:

- The development blog is now online and can be found in the menu under "TECHNOLOGY" or directly with http://www.f1technical.net/development .
:arrow: Please let me know what you think, and comment on the posts there.
:arrow: An extra RSS feed is also available for the devblog

- RSS images have been changed to those used in IE7 and Firefox

- Some updates to the layout of news articles. Especially for firefox & opera users

- A trailpath has been added to the "all cars ever" and "all teams ever" section.

- Recommend and feedback links are now present on every page, right under the yellow login/account box.

Lots of bugs have been fixed too, mainly in the admin section for our own ease of work ;)

Good idea!!! I can suggest that it looks spectacular.But there are two questions: all pictures will be saved after a weekend and can you make these drawings bigger in size.To be truthful they are too small.

As for your first question, the posts and their images stay online, no matter how old they are. I'm also not planning on limiting updates to race weekends, so maybe also about testing.

A problem is though that I'm a bit limited for images. F1T cannot really afford the use of images like Sutton, so it's really only images available to the media on the team's websites that I can use.
Of course, if any of you would have images after going to an F1 weekend, I'd greatly appreciate sending some to me, and especially those about car details.

Image size... well those are now 175x175. Are there any more people who also think the images are too small? What size would you suggest then?

Great site tomba, thanks for all your work man. One little suggestion tho, regarding the new brilliant tech development blog:

Is it possible to link the words you use in your articles in the development blog to articles in the glossary. This could help new-comers to the site and to the technical side of F1 and could draw passers by into the site. To this end, if its possible, maybe you could put links to the threads where that body work or mechanical device is being discusssed on the forum. I donno much about site development, like if it's too much work or if its even possible, just thought i'd see what u think.

Hi all,

once more some updates, but more importantly announcing upcoming updates ;)

Basically these last days, only stuff has been changed to improve management of the site and some architectural things for the CMS. I've been doing these updates in nightly hours not to disturb you all too much ;)

Some of these updates are however in preparation for the image gallery which is coming up. I've basically finished but I'll be waiting on an upcoming new version of Gallery2 before I put it online.

Keep your eyes sharp ;)
