That particular version in AC was ripped from Project Cars 2, and re-textured. It's not laser scanned that's for sure, the cambers are there, although the game seems to have banking more than cambered road. It just makes turn 5 more difficult than the real one. Also that F1 mod has cartoon levels of grip, I don't think they can go flat through turn 4, although the track has been repaved so maybe they made the elevation change at the height of the turn less abrupt?
They won't use the hairpin turn 1, they'll be using the wide open turn 1.
OK thanks. I thought it was a given they’d use the hairpin.godlameroso wrote: ↑18 Oct 2020, 18:04They won't use the hairpin turn 1, they'll be using the wide open turn 1.

We thought that about Mugello. Like Mugello there's a very long run up to turn 1 since the final turn is so easy flat.Mogster wrote: ↑18 Oct 2020, 18:22OK thanks. Overtaking will be next to impossible then...
A couple of months ago Mario Isola said Pirelli expected Portimao to be the hardest on tyres of the new tracks.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑19 Oct 2020, 01:11This is one is another rare gem to addto anyone's trophy cabinet. We might not see it again for years to come.
If the Asetto Corsa video above is anything to go by, the tyres will have a very hard time in the race. Two stops might be the default strategy if overtaking is facilitated, and it should be if wear and degradation is on the extreme side.
Can anyone who watches other race series chime in about the relative tyre wear on this track?
