First pics of the SA 06

Post

Here is a picture of the SA 06 from Franck Motagny's blog. Its is a grainy and ugly picture, but its the first on the internet I have found. I believe that Franck too it from a cell phone.

Hopefully the new chassi will find those two seconds Aguri (and all of the closet SA fans) is wanting.
:D

EDIT: I could not get the picture to post on this thread, here is a link to it.

Im guessing that is a twin-keel design on the front suspension over there, plus they look they are following the Arrows design philosphy with the long strugs on the front wing. I think the paint job is sweet.
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

I think that it looks mean. I'm with you guys though, twin keel, long wing struts, mean paint, and a terrible picture.

Heres the address to their race shop, schumi.

Leafield Technical Centre,
Langley, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX29 9EF, U.K.

The chassis of the 06 is still the 04 arrows chassis. SA decided money would be better invested in aero than in design of new chassis. This would explain why they have used some of the old conceps, because basically its the old car so they have some of the old concepts.

That factory looks a mess, they need to get their act together in there

I think they are doing a great job, concidering they are having to set up from nothing and the promised help from Honda has failed to materialise 8)

Just hope they can tame the suicidal overtaking tendancies of their drivers and design and build a competitive car for next season.

The fact that they even made it in F1 is amazing, I don't think the shop condition is their first priority. I heard it over the Formula Student weekend that some UK school's student who were working at SA for their motorsport internship in that they are basically working 16 hours day to get the car running for the season, and I'd imagine they are doing the same for this....

In an assembly bay you don't have windows so close to the car...if it was a window it would be a little to close to the car...and wouldn't give any space for the mechanics to work in on the left front corner.
