Years of watching F1 testing with all kinds of mental gymnastics, it's impossible to get the accurate idea of the ultimate performance of each team or any team. You only get a rough idea of the pecking order. It's still an enjoyable experience of guessing game.johnny vee wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 15:05Just putting this out there. Is anyone on here able to post lap times with sector times and which tyre. Would it be worth it to add up fastest sector times on a specific tyre to try to cut through the sandbagging?
Easier thing to look at is the atmosphere in the team & reliability. Smiles on pitwall? Stressed faces? Always in the garage etcjohnny vee wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 15:05Just putting this out there. I was hoping to use it as my soundtrack for an each day while at work, unfortunately it doesn’t look as though it will be on BBC Sounds.
I’m so glade Pirelli have simplified things to make it easier
.
Yeah, I'd say the more laps a car drives, the more likely it is a teams hits it's testing program targets and therefor will be best prepared for next week (and onwards). Don't expect too much differentiation throughout the grid.organic wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 15:26Easier thing to look at is the atmosphere in the team & reliability. Smiles on pitwall? Stressed faces?
