I woke up this morning and saw it on the news. Tragic, and so ironic considering stingray's arent usually though of as THAT aggressive. A cheerful man with bucket loads of enthusiasm, and he will be missed.
Silence is golden when you don't know a good answer.
Steve was om the same scale as chuck norris. I found out this morning, he will be missed. i think mark webber should have a croc on his car to mark this loss
I believe in the chain of command, Its the chain I use to beat you till you do what i want!!!
tbh i wouldn't be suprised if he did run with some sort of homage to Steve, even if its just a black armband or something. (Then again that big white space on the williams' sidepod is free for a croc!)

Its a same he had died as he was a very cheerful bloke.
However stingrays are frightened very easily and will swim away at the first sign of danger, they have to be very pissed off before they use there barbed stinger which is coated in venom. If it had struck him anyhwere else he would have survived.
You guys said it all. Thanks Steve for sharing so much of your wonderful world with so many. Mother Nature has certainly lost one of her greatest allies.
Really sad news. He could have touched it. Really strange accident, as stingrays barbs have venom, but (at least the ones I know) the venom doesn't kill you: it makes the healing of the wound a long affair, but that's it.
