I am a retired toolmaker from the aerospace industry. I had someone approach me and ask if I could build something like the MOZA body. I can as I have built many molds even for 1940 Willys street rods. I am trying to figure out if there would be a market and at what price point people might be interested. I see the prices on the ones out there and IMO they are extremely high for the average person along with room as to where you would put it. Building one as a one off would be expensive for one body. If I did it for one body I would make the mold disposable, either way I would need to make the plug for the mold.
My design criteria right now would be to keep it in the footprint of a 4x8 sheet of plywood so for the average person it could go in a room and be about the size of a bed, slightly larger. The body would be just the shell and you would need to supply all internals. I do not want to get into building the seating, steering mounts etc. I have the specs for an F1 cockpit so it will basically be that.The other issue always was shipping, I am in Ohio and figure I would be limited to a smaller radius to keep it affordable and even offer pick up for people.
Not a computer person, no CAD etc. I do everything with section templates and plaster for the plug. I do not see how to add some pics of past projects so any help with that would be good too.
Interested in hearing some thoughts on this.
