This has to be one of the best tracks for these cars. Lots of braking zones and part throttle medium speed corners.

One of the interesting 'problems' that is going to pop out, I reckon, is going to be what happens between the 'final-recharge' opportunity into T12 and the start of the pit straight during quali. T13-14 are proper long corners which will need to be driven at decent pace to get a launch for the straight, but which will 'spend' the battery. Very different from Spa where it was much much less complicated where the bus stop chicane conveniently opens up to the pit straight. Even Silverstone was only slightly worse, because there is a chicane that's not very far before the pit straight.

For Hungaroring, the 13-14 is going to be talking point on team radios, I expect.

I could see some people holding a low gear at full throttle so they clip all the way though 13.

Hungary will be completely different. This is a much more energy-intensive track. So the deployment topic will probably be discussed less. Instead, chassis behavior, car setup, tire management, and overall car management in hot conditions will be much more decisive."

Engine power alone should be enough for those turns. They are not really flat out turns.

I am looking forward to the upgrades from the top teams, but I gotta tell ya, I’m genuinely curious what shenanigans the Federation of Incompetence and Abhorrence will play in Hungary. They have upped their game recently with random virtual safety cars at the most opportune moments. I’m thinking maybe a red flag for possible rain 10 laps from the end to battle declining viewersh…uhhhh….for safety reasons?

Couple other thoughts.

In general, there is no need to force a pass with these cars. If your faster, just stay close behind, figure their deployment, and just make adjustments and pass easily on a straight. With this $#itty formula, there really is no motivation to do something grand. If you really are faster, it’s just a deployment timing issue, and the computers/engineers can figure that out for the driver. Patience is a better play, imo atm.

I'm more and more amazed with Kimi. He is maturing and he is only going to get faster and faster. At just 19, the kid is going to be stratospheric if he continues at this rate. His prime is waiting for him and it starts about the middle of next year when his hormones kick in full throttle and his reaction times just get shorter and shorter. As a life long fan, I am looking forward to seeing that guy mature and walk through his prime. I bet he peaks for 5 years and its all in the near future. Now, will Merc get their act together with deployment, and will their upgrades take them to the next level? They do have an ADUO unbelievably, but they really don’t need to use it if their aero package improves and they pull their head out with deployment. Is King George’s disparity his own issue or is Toto securing possible options for 2027? It is truly amazing Kimi may win the title with a 3M a year salary compared to all the drivers around him, and he is only going to get faster. Consider the salaries of Chuck, Lewis, George, Max…I mean, my god, the difference in scale is astounding. Toto is just laughing his way to the bank on this one. Gotta say, really well done Toto.

Will Charles continue in form and continue to find more pace?
Can Lewis actually make it through a race without a penalty or interfering with another driver?

Will Red Bull continue to lower their lap time and continue to find pace?
Will Hadjar continue his ever lowering lap time—which is a welcome breath of fresh air to see for a Max teammate.

I looked into the top of the page and saw last year´s quali results (which I didn´t remember at all) and Lec and Rus are P1 and P4 respectively while their team mates are P12 and P15. Race results were not too much better. Please, don´t jinx Antonelli again, I wanna see him champion
