Cosworth Info

Post

I've been looking for a displacement chart spec sheet for Cosworth BDA's. Anyone know where to find it? Can a 1600cc BDA be bumped to 2000cc's? Cosworth here in California was no help.

Thanks.

Try searching for info or contacting them via their main site. That's not just promotional site but customer friendly site site too.

Ted68-- RX7 Rotaries-- often called "wankers" and now Cosworth BDAs?
Although Manchild has been coaching me on such "scaries" as cut and paste, scanning and making links-- let me encourage you on a fearsome ,arduous task -- Search -- I laboured typing Caoswoth BDA and came up with a concopia of sites-- and sometime I will master my scaries.
In the 60's a Finnish gearguy became interested in the Honda 50cc
single-- and ended up building a 500cc V8-- /1600>2000--Why not?

Google is just the Beginnng of the conquest of the Galaxy

Actually I searched Cosworth BHA --- and someday I will start posting links and scanned images-- another thread was into birdcage spaceframes
and I have a 60's illustration of the Bird Cage Maserati Tippo -- the 66?
I'm lazy , lazy .lazy-- besides--Since we have been deprived od our F1tech porno links---I have to spend so much time finding "source material"--- I wish Tomba would have gone "with the secret handshakes and funny hats" -- its always added interest to ...other interests

Carlos, that's Wankels my friend. If you go round Britain saying wankers you'll find yourself in a lot of trouble. :D

Hey there Carlos.

The rotary thing was a response to Tomislavp4's request, not my post, just giving him the info he asked for. viewtopic.php?t=3545&highlight=mazda+rx7+rx8

I was trying to find ifo on early BDA's for a friend's newly acquired 1971 Lotus 69 Formula B car. I know the BDY, a variant (as are BDD, BDG, BDJ and so on, most 1.6 litres, some over 2 litres.), was 2-litres, as in the Ford Sierra Cosworth, but we don't know if this 1600 block could be bored to those specs, whatever they are, or if a different block will be needed, which crank/rod/piston assembly, would a newer block's bellhousing bolt pattern mate with the Hewland Mk9 in the car, etc. Looking to keep power the same and boost torque.

I did search google for BDA and Cosworth BDA, and Cosworth BDA displacement. Didn't find what I needed. Called Coswoth's shop nearby in Torrance, no return phone call. Same with emails to their site. That was plan A. Plan B was to ask here, so it's onto plan C, go down to the local sports-racer shop. Probably should have started there...

Thanks for setting me straight Ted. I remember something about a 2 litre
Cosworth using the "Pinto" motor -- maybe that might help. Sorry to have confused past threads.

Ted --I made a mistake ( hard to imagine  ) --the price is $37.50
From what I can tell from reading reviews--this is the authority on that entire series of engines . For under $50USD :!:
