Manchild, I only have one position on this bussiness and I've said it many times:

At this side of the pond, we prefer big block engines. You may talk about the "handling" of the Ferrari 388 and the excellence of its chassis, but let me tell you that the 0-100-meters-of-height figures of this Platform Twinring beauty leave the 388 in the dust, and it was used in Lousiana for the first time.

We, "colonialists", don't care if the suspension ride is a little rougher. :)

Manchild -- I thought I was the only one that knew about the super secret F1 388 test car! The rough design came down from the top ---scribbled on a white linen table napkin ( I think it was 800 thread Egyptian cotton -- after an extravegant lunch -- involving quite a few litres of wine I'm told ) and instead of specifying a 1/5th scale model --- they built a 500% scale model! Some confusion converting the scribbles to CAD. Yes , Yes -- this is all true! I have been analysising the aero for years. That clever suspension of the front wing has baffled me for a decade+! How devious -- a movable front wing streamlined by the platform apparatus -- in combination, supplying so much down force a rear wing was unnecessary! Horsepower figures for the 15 litre V10 were never released! Anyways- someone realized mistakes had been made -- and the whole project was covered up BIGTIME! It's been said that those responsible were all promoted to "Top Spots In The Corporation" -- so to speak. This affair has been explained as " The Ultimate Ferrari Conspiracy" --- but I know it's all FACT! I was afraid to reveal this to the world . Especially without a picture -- but if anyone could find a photo-- I should have known it would be you Manchild! Good detective work! This has been a burden I have carried for many years! But now The Truth Can Be Told! Thank you Manchild! Something like 80 million had been wasted -- so they tried to recover costs AND COVER UP THE DEBACLE by passing it off as a container-carrier machine! Very, very clever ! BUT NOW THE TRUTH IS KNOWN!
Edit Posting mean't as "humour"
