Ferrari 2007?

Post

We saw the funny tusks on the front of the williams a couple of years ago but did Ferrari ever test them? This pic has Sutton on it suggesting it's real but it could easily be a photoshop job, any ideas? Also the webaddress is from Bath University, again suggesting it's a student with too much free time.

n.b. I came across this looking for pics of F1 car wings for a CAD project I'm in the middle of, more on that later.

Strange that it has Sutton on i as I would've thought the pic looks fake can't remember how Marlbora was wrote on the rear wing back when Williams had that wing but that looks wrong and on the engine cover it looks like there isn't enough room for the rest of the text.

BTW I thought that wing on the Williams was gorgeous and was disapointed when it was gone :(

it was a twin keel car the williams. if you look thats i am fairly sure is a Single keel. I thought the whole idea of the walrus wing was to take advantage of the twin keel design.

the front wing looks more real than the rear wing. The font is all wrong.

This prophisised CAD wing, it's looking very good, I have a Jordan and Arrows colour scheme (white doesn't show up well on my CAD) but I can't get the bugger off CAD and up here, anyone have any ideas, could I save it as a picture and if so how? Also new Scanner has descided it doesn't want to co-operate so that option's gone. Doh.

Can you screen print then open it in paint and save it?

Paint kept opening it as a plan veiw when the best one was isometric, anyway, problem solved, I found I could save it as a bitmap so I have two examples available for tonight.

Jordan: Image and Arrows: Image

Very simple I know, but they took alot of time, using the dimensions from my model of a Mclaren MP4/15 (2000).
This is the most advanced thing I've ever done with my cheepo CAD so please be nice

Looks good I doubt I could do something as good as that even if I could be bothered to by a CAD program

@Walrus Ferrari: That one is fake!!!!

@ Tom: Not too bad, but since you made it using a Mclaren, I can't ignore it.

Thanks, the more I look at it the more basic and simple it looks, but it took me so long I had to show it off. I now have one coloured for every eam in the 2000 paddock too.

i've seen this photo a long time ago..
i remeber after the 2004 season, i googled "F2005", and this was the first pic i saw...
i also remember ross brown saying that they have tested the williams "front end", but found it to be useless..

Yeah, look closely at the front wing just left of the left tusk, you can see the reflection of the vodaphone logo, something I've never seen on the real car, white carbon fibre just doesn't reflect that well.

I never saw the Marlboro logo having spaces between each letter so this is clearly a fake one.
