Beckham leaving Real

Post

Looks like Beckham will no longer play for my second favourite soccer team (after Lazio).

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/footbal ... 248835.stm

During the WC, there was a story going around that he will play in the States. If he does, I hope that he will do the same thing that Pele once did - make soccer a very popular sport in N. America.

I think that if he leaves Madrid, he'll chose for a team closer to home (UK) as there have been a lot of problems for Beckham in Spain. His wife and children don't like it there (don't ask me why...sun, swimmingpools, etc.) and he misses the UK as well. So I guess he'll try to go back to the UK or he'll stop playing, as he has money enough!

Well I once saw a documentary on Beckham in which he clearly said that he would love to go back to UK. He was kinda lukewarm about his level of happiness in Spain. But her Victoria said that she absolutely loved it in Spain and didnt see any reason why David should move back. The 'dream team' has clearly failed and I think Beckham wants to play his final years in winning style

yes, real proyect has sunk completely but having lots of overpaid players and frecuent coach changes you won't make a good team. With capello things started to change, crap football but wins, untill all collapsed with lattest results, every team could nowadays win real with not many difficulties, there're a bunch of players that just can keep playing with such a big team and Becks is one case. Last match he didn't had the ball, didn't collaborate elaborating game, and we couldn't see one of his genious long passes or a good free kick he just got a yellow card (as they call them here orange card, not red but hard enough to be) So to sum up the only interest in having becks is money and his team has loads of it so...

He must be tired of being famous.

The best way to slink away into oblivion is to come here to the U.S. to play soccer.

He should better stop playing straight away! I never understood the whole 'Beckham'-thing! I don't think of him like one of the most briliant players on the field! Okay, he can kick amazing free-kicks...but for the rest he's not that great! I rather see the Dutch footballplayer Pierre Van Hooidonck. He has the same amazing free-kicks (even more brilliant than Becks) and he makes a lot of goals!
Becks isn't the best on the market! I wouldn't mind if he goes to the USA, but in my eyes, he can better stop playing and focus on his children and clothingline.

bhallg2k, He's not tired of being famous, believe me. The Beckham-family is a family that enjoys being in the spotlights (with the exeption of his affairs coming out)!

No the main reason is that he has a soccer academy in LA. That is what the reason what when I first heard about the rumor. Also, when you think about it, LA is a celebrity town, so they should feel right at home.

From:

http://sports.sympatico.msn.cbc.ca/Home ... yline=True
One of the teams Beckham and the Galaxy will face is Toronto FC, an expansion franchise that will play its inaugural season in MLS starting in April.

Though the MLS schedule has not been released, Toronto FC confirmed that the Galaxy will play in Toronto once Beckham officially joins the team in August.

"We sold over 200 season tickets in the first few hours of this announcement," Toronto FC said in a statement.

Moreover, he will be living in those lush Beverly Hills mansions amongst other Hollywood celebs. Basically, he wants a bit of that too by signing with a club in LA.

I believe he was losing here in Europe anyway, comon lets admit it!

He reminds me of a good friend of mine who went to the University of California just to live in LA and get a breather of how its like to live close to those places like Sunset Boulevard etc. He was curious after all!

I just can't believe they're paying this guy $50 million a year. The entire league isn't worth $50 million.

Then again, he was on the front page of The New York Times website yesterday, which has got to be the first time any soccer player has been featured so prominently. Even the World Cup doesn't get that much publicity here.

It's purley for the money.

By transfering to America will also result in decline in his performance, which will eventually ruin the end of his football career. But who cares, as long as Victoria is showing her meat off with loaded handbag, who cares? :D
The trouble with the rat-race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.
