AutoUnion cars -> help wanted

Post

G'day folks,
I've suddenly found myself with too much time on my hands and I'm bored so I've decided to design something on my CAD program, now I've always had an interest in AutoUnion cars esspecially because they're so rare (following the Russians capturing most of the cars and destroying them) inovative and beautiful.
Image
I found these and they should be a very good help for designing the car accurately, but I was wondering if anyone could find any pics or more specific dimensions as all I've been able to find are tiny die-cast models with not nearly enough detail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd print (or plot) that pic on grid printed paper (millimeters) and than it would be easy to get and mark dimension of almost every part.

Instead of printing this one on greided paper take ot direct into your
CAD program and symply redraw the lines with the programm.
You only need one reference for example the wheelbase to
bring the picture on the right size for your scale.

It works very well I have made drawing about the MP4/20
on this way with nothing more than some really good pictures
from the internet.

On the upper view (last one) it looks like a batmobile...:)

It generally makes me think to Audi sportwagon concept "Rosemeyer".

Maybe this 44.5 litre V12 1939 Nazi-Mercedes that develops three thousand horsepower helps you with something! :D

It still amazes me when these boy racers boast about the Buggati Veyron doing 250+mph when pre-war Merc vs AU battles down the autobahn where easily exceeding this, with straight 16 engines with only one supercharger! Mad

Well I just moved from California to Florida and my books are still boxed. I do have one of my Porsche books with a good section on the Silver Arrows. If I remember correctly, it does have dimensions and weights. I'll unpack them this weekend and give them a scan for you.

Fw14b is one of the the outstanding race car illustrators on the net. The Auto Union series of pictographs is a superb example.

Sorry to veer off topic a little bit but the picture here caught my eye. I saw a pic of this a while ago, accompanied by nothing more than a caption stating it was a Mercedes Benz T44 or something like that. I've always been facinated by the Auto-Union / Mercedes record cars and frustrated by the apparant lack of information on them (maybe you just gotta know where to look? I which case I dont!)

Anyway, that Mercedes in the picture. Anybody know where I could find some info on it - I know it was never raced but tht's all I know. Thanks in advance guys.

oh and P.S: 44.5litres? You're kidding...right?!
