Mark Smith is to be "promoted" to another job within the RBR team. That's about it.
Seems like another wise move by Christian Horner

For such a young

team, Red Bull Racing sure has accumulated some of the most seasoned names in F1 in its ranks. It'll be interesting to see how all this works out under the management of the (youngish by comparison) Horner - when he gets everything to click, there's room for an enormous improvement in form. Here's hoping that Geoff can improve the reliability and overall integration of RBR, something that he has commented on before his new position with the team was announced.

At least this will solve the gearbox issues.

BAR were the first team to run with a seamless shift gearbox which was carbon fibre succesfully, that was in 2004.

Geoff Willis will certainly fix this issue forRedBull

I can't.

Even BMW-Sauber can't fight for wins at the moment, much less RBR. Even if RBR gets some reliability* back for next season they just dont have the adequate drivers to accomplish those goals. Wins in '08 for RBR sound a bit to farfetched. Maybe podiums at least.

Not to discredit Coulthard or Webber, but they are not what they used to be, well at least Coulthard, because Webber was never anything promiseful (1 career podium**= best result).

I definately wish RBR the best though. All these additions to the team must be good for some improvements in performance and provide better results as the season progresses.

*Gearbox gremlins solved by then hopefully.

Why is that? For as long as I have followed F1, and done research on previous seasons he hasnt shown promisful results. And I just cant claim him as a good driver. Sorry.

I don't see why the current drivers can't compete for good results next season. Wins are not that likely tho. Podiums seem realistic.

I also believe that the RBR drivers can challenge for good results, albeit no wins IMO.

So we have been disagreeing just to agree in the end
