I am sure we all would love F1 to race there.

But F1 would have to destroy the track before the F1 cars could even set foot on the track.

It is far too dangerous for F1 cars and there will be little overtaking.

A nice and quick circuit it may be, but FIA would have tilke it up before, and we dont want that do we.

Watkins Glen is a nice track and has an outstanding bar outside whose name I don't remember. I remember the name of the girl... barely. :)

Road America is the best track I've seen at this side of the pond. The Kink and Turn 13 would kill some safety marshalls of a heart attack.

Laguna Seca is too short at 2.2 miles. FIA says 2.5 miles or bust.

Miller Motorsport is in the end of the world (Salt Lake City in my map is beyond Mordor).

I don't see tracks with more runoff areas than track, where acommodations are more important than circuit layout or where people would tolerate ticket prices for the very rich. So, I don't see more F1 races in USA.

I think the main problem in USA is how to sell a venue that gives you a 4:30 am schedule for most of its audience (Colombia, Canada and Brazil excepted, of course :)). That's a hard one. Maybe they'll do it for the colombian market (me and my two sons).

I believe you have a similar, if opposite, problem with poetry. Paraphrasing the immortals word of Jorge Montealegre: "Poetry doesn't sell because it's not sold" ("La poesía no se vende porque no se vende"), you could say: "In America, F1 does not sell because it is already sold"...

I take the opportunity to remember the new forum members that (provided you download Google Earth) you can watch the most awesome collection of tracks the world has ever seen at a page made by a person I appreciate a lot: me. :) http://www.ciropabon.co.nr/ Check the option for "Downloads".

I'm sure few American's would agree, but Mosport, the Canadian GP from the 60's is an awesome track.

A Canadian and North American race both in Canada.

A man can dream.
