As an avid reader of his scores of articles, I feel it's my duty to help where I can. (Fellow ex-FSAE'ers can prolly relate).
Mark Ortiz, the suspension guru & "The Consultant" columnist for Racecar Engineering mag, was on the cyclist end of a hit and run accident on Nov 6th 2007. Luckily, he [barely] survived the accident and is making what seems to be a good recovery.
He can use Your help wherever You can. Donations to help with incurred costs, a good plate of food, a thoughtful gift (car mag perhaps?), a visit at the nursing home, etc will help bring his spirits up and at least let him see that not everybody is out to get him. If it's even to spread he word, do something for a fellow human.
