Is it true the Car manufactures are still talking about competing with Bernie? I heard after 2007 the manufactures wanted to create a new series to get away from Bernie.
The breakaway series was a threat to get costs down, but Bernie and Max have been working to bring down costs. Whether this has worked is still open for debate.
A search in the forum of breakaway series will likely return many posts, as this topic has been beaten to death.
The breakaway series was squashed last year.
