Stephane Ortelli crash.

Post

I heard of this crash, today, via eurosport and how close it was to McNish. Upon watching a vid ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_0pdtyNBiU ) i was wondering what caused the initial direction change? Lock-up is definetly not what it would've been. Possibly suspension failure?

Either way it's a horrible crash and shows how aero can work against a car when it's not on 4 wheels. It just lifts off the ground!

Stephan Ortelli was lucky with a broken ankle though.
"It could be done manually. It would take quite a while, but it could be done. There is however a much more efficient and accurate way of getting the data. Men with lasers." Wing Commander Andy Green

I don't know much about the cause of the crash, but it is already posted here:

There's obviously not so much interest for LMS in this forum, so it's better not splitting things too much if we hope to have a decent conversation. ;)
