Does anybody here thinks that all the Grand Prix this year all sux???None of all the gp this year have lived up to our expectations. No spectacular overtakings...Ferrari always running away...it seems like I could predict all the races of this season. And all those blastings of lack of testings and all those other things..especially by Ross Brawn is just full of ---!!What is he gonna do about it...he's not incharge.I suggest the FIA plan an immediet overhaul next season.

it is not the FIA but williams and mclaren who are at fault. i mean look at renault and BAR and ferrari.. they have continued development and built a reliable fairly fast car. on the other hand mclaren and williams have screwed things up. williams were so ga-ga over the new walrus that they forgot to do anything else i guess. and mclaren... well it is a mystery really.. a team with such a long history of suzzess can't get their main driver to finish races. if you were the FIA head what would/could you do ... yes banning schumacher is a solution .. but get anyone like button or webber or alonso in that cockpit you will see a win... not as spectacular as the master but easily a win.

As a long and avid fan of F1, I have to agree with you, this season has been somewhat of a snore. There have been fleeting moments of exciting, but even being a monster Ferrari supporter, it has to be demoralizing for the other teams.
I think McLaren has been to involved with the Technical Center and building the SLR rather than pushing to build the best car/chassis. Williams, I'm not sure what happened to them. Renault ar emaking slow progress, but....that leaves BAR to bring the fight to Ferrari, something I think they can do, on occassion.
There is a clear need to spice the racing up, but how, and when? I do like the idea of a "Success Ballast", adding weight to the top cars (to a point) upon podium finishes. Or adding air restrictors to the top cars. I know this goes against the spririt of F1 and its engineering excellence, but lets not forget that this is a sport, whole supported by fans.

You guys are missing the point of F1 when you talk of penalizing the top teams or drivers: F1 is about unlimited racing, the pinnacle of technological achievement. You start trying to level the playing field by making it harder for the top guys and you might as well quit F1 and watch NASCAR. And that _would _ be boring. Yeah sure Ferrari is going to run away with the season and Michael is going to get his seventh but so what- it's not going to last forever. Sooner or later someone is going to knock them off. Other teams before have had long success streaks- it never lasts. The one thing that would help F1 more than anything else would be to give the teams shares of TV revenues in inverse proportion to their points. That would give teams like Minardi and Jordan the funds to _do_ more development and they would _be_ more competitive. It's just plain gotten too expensive for most teams to compete in F1. The FIA should find a way to lower costs and give a fair share of funds to _all_ the teams.

I want Schumacher in because the sport would be much better if somebody BEAT him, as opposed to winning a race w/o him. Yeah it sucks that it looks like another red season, but I actually did think Trulli was going to win... if only Michael pitted instead of Trulli in the first stint.

I watch mainly if Jaguar and Toyota can bring their cars up to BAR's level, as well as if BAR and Renault can dethrone the top three.

Agreement in whole with khosterman. The best team/best driver combination is winning. So what. It means that the rules are working.

In contrast I'm finding this to be the most exciting season in awhile. Not coincidentally this is because B-A-R/Honda are finally competitive. If I'm not mistaken they have 3 podiums, took pole at imola and set track records at barcelona and bahrain and it sounds like there are some significant steps to come this season. Incidentally when Button signed with BAR, the team was quoted as saying that within four years he would be world champion. It sounds like they're right on schdule.

yes it has been a snore...realistically no one came close to ever challenging the ferraris...the margin between 1st and 2nd is often a very huge gap not to mention 3/5 times its schumi's own team mate...even barrichello didn't look threatening to schumi...schumi's car is impeccable...amazing...sure mclaren make a comeback with new revised version of the mp4-19 otherwise it'd be really sad...kimi looks a chump compared to the rest with its beautiful looking crap car...he should be up there battling it out instead of scavenging for points here and there...it shud be him, alonso, monty dishing out with schumi...that would make an absolutely amazing gp to watch....

well as I see it up to now, Shumi has 5 race wins, the rest just GRID fillers, even Rubens has been held back to challange M.$.

Eddie , the winger, Irvine hit the nail on the head in as much as M.$. appears to get away with a driving/blocking style that no other driver can get away with !!

I do NOT want to see restrictions of any sort in F1 , but hell there ARE restrictions in place now !!

Would you go out and buy a set of tyres for your High performance ROAD car with the profile of F1 TYRES ? I doubt it, some of the road tyres resemble Rubber Bands fitted to a rim, where as F1 have these hugely un-proportional side wall tyres, and for what reason ? Bloody stupid RULES. same applies to ABS braking, even the cheapest ROAD cars have it fitted as standard, so WHO says there are no rules in F1 ?

F1 is screwed by rules that are not applicable to todays Road cars, unlike years gone by where Road cars benefitted from F1 and motor racing in general. IT'S ALL JUST A MONEY MAKING CIRCUS IMO :D

I don't think anyone has said there are no rules in F1, rodders. The point I was making is that whatever rules there are should apply to all the teams and not just the ones that are doing well.

Also, I think you should remember that today's cars only have ABS because they were developed in F1. The same as fuel injection, turbo-charging, aerodynamics, and so many other technologies.

BTW, what's a winger?
