FIA withheld funds

Can anyone offer any further insight into why and how the FIA is able to withhold payment to teams?

FOM/CVC have withheld over the last few years $900 million of the income stream from the teams who were contending the F1 series at the end of 2007 when the old Concorde agreement ended - that sits in some bank somewhere until they sign a new accord which isnt likely to happen - is it a case of finders keepers for FOM/CVC I dont know but its close to a billion dollars off what CVC owe the banks if it is.

You should re-title the thread to "FOM withheld funds".


Its an interesting point, one I had neglected. FOTA have a dispute with Bernie as well as Max.


All the more reason to tell the vertically challenged one to --- off.
