General Aerodynamics in Cars

Post

Hello! I am new to this website and clearly not as informed as the rest of you so please go easy on me. I have been through a lot of forums and topics on the subject aerodynamics in cars on this website and others but its all really technical. I'm having trouble understanding where to start.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get some general information on aerodynamics, how it works etc on cars? When I say general I mean for someone like me who has absolutely no experience or background with this topic.

Thanks so much! :)

ay up,

I recently got interested in the more technical side of f1 too (the racing isn't holding my interest like it used to), and I found this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Competition-Car ... 1844252302 . It's aimed at those of use with no background and I found it interesting but not too complex. Damn, thats a cheap plug if ever I heard one, but it's good!

And its earlier sibling:

by the same author but concentrating on downforce alone.

I have this book and enjoyed reading it. Having seen the post above I shall invest in the copy of the other book too, I think :)
