Mclaren aerodynamics article

Post

Mclaren has on their webpage a section that describes the fundamentals of different parts of the car. The subject changes every race, and this week they have a very interesting article on the aerodynamic development of the car, plus an article on brakeducts. I suggest you check it out. :P
http://www.mclaren.com
there is a links section on the right, and there it is, called "the brakeduct" and "there's something in the air"
They have mclaren engineers explain the things. They have had some very interesting articles there. :)

Reading about the brake ducts reliance on air to provide cooling, I was wondering if its possible to do some type of liquid cooling system for heat dissipation. What are the regulations concerning this?

I was just reading about this very same thing and Frank Williams has already tried it back in the 80's sometime. He used water as the cooling medium. The other teams protested that it could be used as a form of ballast and be shifted around the car where required,so the system was banned!
