No, if they take 2 engines only the 2nd one can be used going forward.

The forecast for Sunday is a little chance of a little bit of rain, so they probably will postpone qualifying to Sunday morning.
It happend in Japan 2004 and 2010, Australia 2013 and USA 2015 (Q3 was ultimately cancelled, so Q2’s results were used).

wouldn't be a bad idea concidering the rain is coming in and an interesting race for certain.
Hamilton would do smart to NOT take a new engine, if he manages to snatch pole or anything like that.
there's the risk of sufficient nutralizations that verstappen gets close though.

what IF 5 teams all get new engines. what is the grid penalty rule - they start from the back, but, how?
the team that breaks the seal first gets to the back first? so any car's seal broken afterwards, will then get to the back?

so let's say Leclerc goes first, then Verstappen, then Sainz, then Vettel.
Does that mean Leclerc starts p17, Max p18, sainz p19, vettel p20?

in that case, qually doesnt matter right?

or if all 4 drivers take an engine penalty and start from the back,
will the grid spots be decided in order of qualification?

Max has a 3 place grid drop aswell

Once the change the engine, the qualifying position is void. If several drivers do it, then it's done as your first example with drivers lining up in the order they changed engines.

If a team registers a new PU/components on Monday, Tuesday's registration will be placed behind it on the starting grid and
Wednesday's registration will be followed by Tuesday's registration.
In this case, all further registrations will start behind Charles on the starting grid. At least that's how it always was.
