Why so impatient f1 fans?
How is starting in P4 with a long run down to turn 1 a problem?
Lets wait and watch the race.
For all we know, the top 3 trip over themselves and LH waltz right through the middle and into P1 by lap 1.
And Mazepin spins into Max.

Anything can happen on a Sunday.

P4 is not too bad in a gambling qualifying. Tomrrow should be okay with the long run into turn 1. The shorter runs are usually the crashing ones.
Looking at how everything seems to be so messy for Merc and Lewis right now, I would not be surprised if there is a broken FW in T2 at the start… But if everything goes smoothly, there will be no problem clearing the cars ahead after that.

All of this is completely pointless bickering. Another exciting start to a gp tomorrow and a fascinating afternoon to look forward to (of course it may not turn out that way, but that’s racing)

The twists and turns just keep on coming

My only question is if LH gets 26 points.. will that even be enough to stop redbull from being champions this year?
For Sure!!

Exited for the race. LEC vs VER is highly explosive and anything can happen at the front. Don’t count out Bottas either for once.

Merc and Hamilton just cannot seem to get anything right. Besides Lewis hitting the pit wall and costing the team a front row lockout probably, Mercedes left it way too late to switch to the slick tire. When Russell made the call they should have went after that as it was obvious everyone was going to be on slicks, and the more warmup laps you did the better off you would be. This team is just underperforming massively and it goes from their main driver down to their inept pitwall. They don't deserve to win this championship imo.
It’s seems a great deal of people are enjoying gloating at Hamilton this season when he makes an error while conveniently ignoring Mercedes mistakes which have caused at least some of his issues.
It's because a great deal of people are proclaiming him as GOAT while conveniently ignoring Mercedes hasn't competition which have caused at least some of his titles.
Mercedes may have not had competition, if you ignore Ferrari in 17 and 18, but Hamilton certainly has, I would say his only real “free” championship was 2020

Red Bull have the best car imo, Max will win but Red Bull no.

Don't think Lec will meddle much with Ver.. would be disappointing if he goes in unnecessary hard.

I don't know. With LEC there is always action, he's not one to yield and neither is VER as we know. I think LEC will want to prove himself against VER. But let's wait and see.

When was the last time 3 British drivers qualified in the top 4?

Struggling to think of an instance. 1966?
This, and 4 different teams in the top 5.
There are no british teams on the grid?

they obviously could have just fitted another set of hot ones,
Possibly not. There are a bunch of tyres in pre-heaters out the back of the garage but only a few sets in the garage. Most likely the 2nd set was intermediates.

I would have expected them to have two sets of slicks ready in case it would have dried up earlier ... but yea ... could very well be that they did not have other softs there or thought that they did not have the time to roll the car back completely for a switch ... he only had a good dozen of seconds left when he started his flyer.

Mercedes is British too, apart from the engine. RB is also british apart from the owner´s nationality and the Japanese engine.

Outside of Ferrari, Toro Rosso and Sauber, most teams are based in England

Other teams might be based in Britain, but they are not registered as British teams

Only these 3 have the British national anthem played if they are the winning constructor
