Really thrilling qualifying, very nice to see perez comfortable in the car, and showing the car is as good as people have been saying.

I think Mercedes have compromised their qualifying pace for better tyre life in the race tomorrow

Just last year, we saw a large performance increase from Williams after a different setup concept was used.

For sure, this was exciting! So many drivers within just a few tenths. Thats what I like to see. Much much much more awesome than the lame sprint qualifying.

Watching Lewis's onboard, it looked like the front 3rd damper "bound" setting was too high to shift the weight to the front and gain grip in the connected corners.

I wonder if this is the compromise made for the rear 3rd (direct front 3rd spring reactor) to lower at speed... Maybe by refusing the rear to front weight transfer enough to overwhelm the real until it collapses.🤔

Great job by Hamilton to split the bulls in the end. When Checo is this close, it’s a sign of a supremely balanced and quick RB car. Prediction for tomorrow: it will be the third big clash of the season in turn one, provided Hamilton gets at least an equal launch compared to Max.

The biggest compromise to that level of adjustability is size and weight. I think they "lock in" certain measurements with non-adjustable parts to save both of those negative byproducts.
