I think it comes down to the setup windows of the car's. It's almost like the different min/max adjustments limit certain geometric concepts for stabilizing/destabilizing of the aero platform.AeroDynamic wrote: ↑24 Oct 2021, 00:07Starkblood80 wrote: ↑24 Oct 2021, 00:03Because the Redbull is the better car this season, simple as that
Yeah for me it is clear. I have said this for weeks, the RB when set up to work well without the understeer issues, is the superior car. It always had been apart from circuits where there are long straights.
It seemed the MCS had a tow but still not enough to be near.
For sure, this was exciting! So many drivers within just a few tenths. Thats what I like to see. Much much much more awesome than the lame sprint qualifying.

Just last year, we saw a large performance increase from Williams after a different setup concept was used.
Watching Lewis's onboard, it looked like the front 3rd damper "bound" setting was too high to shift the weight to the front and gain grip in the connected corners.
If the Redbull has a wider set window then it is the better car because it can perform to it maximum potential across a wider variety of tracks.Zynerji wrote: ↑24 Oct 2021, 00:10I think it comes down to the setup windows of the car's. The biggest compromise to that level of adjustability is size and weight. I think they "lock in" certain measurements with non-adjustable parts to save both of those negative byproducts.Starkblood80 wrote: ↑24 Oct 2021, 00:18If the Redbull has a wider set window then it is the better car because it can perform to it maximum potential across a wider variety of tracks.Zynerji wrote: ↑24 Oct 2021, 00:10I think it comes down to the setup windows of the car's.
