On the other hand Lando was quite competitive on the medium runs today....

Carlos is starting on the softs too....
Don't think so. His last run in Q2 was on mediums.

Looks like we had pace to beat Sainz, but Lando did not put it together in the same lap.

He did but it was slower than his soft run

The Ferrari and Mclaren are close in Pace. A decent start could be all it needs to get past the red car.

Let's see who has the best race setup, there is some good racing ahead tomorrow.

Good chance we’ll have the Ferraris tomorrow. Race simulation looked good.

The pace of the Ferrari’s has got me worrying, but I am not at all surprised. Their car has been good all year, and it showed on circuits that were not very dependent on top speed, like in Monaco where Charles got pole. Their engine was really holding them back. Now, they are in front of us on a track that should actually suit us. We can still beat them today. But I don’t think beating them for P3 this year will be possible without a lot of luck. That’s a bummer, as we could already had secured 3rd place long ago when we had the better car. But either way, however it will end, I am not disappointed about our season at all.

I’m actually a bit impressed with the team’s pace, they’re not a million miles away from Ferrari. Also, it was mentioned that the wind was stronger than it was in FP3, maybe that also negatively affected the 35M? We could still be competitive in the race.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

It was at Q3 that clouds came over and the wind got blustery, so it could well be to do with the weather.

As someone posted yesterday, Landos Q3 lap was nearly .6 seconds from his best, he waspretyy off it in Q3, so I'm optimistic for a pacy race.

Good first lap and distance seems stable for now. Can we expect our tyres to hold better than Ferrari's tyres?
