Verstappen cunning. He was trying to keep Bottas from getting fastest lap
Exactly that. Race leader lapping so blue flags. 😂
And that why I don’t like this kid’s antics.

Casually destroying Bottas fastest lap attempt by slowing down and letting him unlap before calling on the radio that Bottas shouldn’t have unlapped himself…
What antics? That’s called tactics. Just like Mercedes using Bottas to steal the point from Max and not even getting it himself.

I strongly suspect Red bull would've found a way to jump Hamilton, even if they were behind him after the first lap. Such was the pace difference. This was Max's to lose as soon as the lights went out.

Verstappen should not have won this race. Really he should have been stuck in 3rd not able to pass in the slip stream. What a performance.
That's because bottass gave Max the racing line at the start. My wife, who only watches 2 or 3 races a year was like what is he doing......
He is obviously trolling. The fact that Checo was even close to Hamilton shows what a dominant car the Red Bull is when it’s in the right setup window. Championship is now over.
Indeed so. Every single race this season he's said the same thing about the Merc being the fastest car, etc. #-o

Simply the fastest car, helped by a brain fade from Bottas at the start, meant he had no worries here. He cruised to the win.
It wasn't the fastest yesterday. If bottas can get pole, then the car is quite competitive.

It was all fair game, why should verstappen just let bottas have it easy  ? Whole thing is pointless anyway to even mention.

On his second fastest lap attempt Bottas slowed massively on the second to last lap to let a williams lap him, only to then get DRS for that bit extra speed on his fastest lap and overtake him immediately. Are you gonna blame bottas for same behaviour for disrupting other peoples races? I think it's just clever thinking on behalf of both drivers.

easy to say now. Before the start there were some comments also right in this forum, saying that Bottas should do exactly that: move over immediately to give Hamilton a tow

With that out of the way, Verstappen and RBR were flawless and Merc have had yet another disastrous race day operation.
More like Mercedes messed up their race setup.

It doesn't really matter if the redbull is faster car, if he had been 3rd going into turn one, I'd bet my next paycheck he doesn't win the race.

Are we still doing this silly Willy waving of who has the best car? On average the RB has been but there have been a decent amount of tracks where the Merc has been the class of the field. 60-40 maybe 66-33 at a max.

It’s close. Very close. As yesterday showed

So what about Ricciardo crashing into Bottas? Should he has gotten a penalty for causing a collision? Not that it would have changed the outcome, but just going by rules.

In any case, these things differ per circuit, and throughout the season. RB had the overhand here, as they had in other years. Doesn't make it the fastest car in general or on average or so.

It is a fact. Max moved from 3rd to 1st around the outside. That is not a common thing. Hamilton's start was actually a bit too good that it ended up being a disadvantage for him because he did not benefit from a slip stream from Bottas. Infact he was going to the left but upon realizing how good his start was had to abandon the slip stream. A Slightly poorer start might have seen him occupy the position behind Bottas before Max got there. There is no where else on the track to pass and Merc owned the straights here.

Why is there so much talk about the Honda engine being the advantage here. From what I see on both RB16B and AT02 is that they have great turn in to set the car up to getting the power down early while the car is flat. I see that being a major benefit in Sao Paulo as well

Karma for Mercedes with the pit stop. FIA has more headache to figure out how to help them again. :)
