Comparison of 13" vs 18".... These things are Huge...
They are, but 725mm diameter rather than 660, 670, or 680mm is the rule for whatever reason. I reckon the classic 635mm (25") diameter fronts and 660mm (26") rears like the 80's Goodyears would have looked neat, but it is what it is, and the tyres are very close to the LMP1, LMP2 & GTE tyre diameter.
The profile is pretty much the same as these:
Those saying it's a shame to lose the 'balloon' tyres shouldn't be too concerned, as they are still balloon tyres somewhat!
PS. Does anyone know why Goodyear aren't pushing the Dunlop brand anymore? Are Sumitomo going to take over manufacturing and distribution of Dunlop globally soon, hence Goodyear switching the racing activities like LMP2 & BTCC to "Goodyear Eagles" from "Dunlops"?

When you consider that the rear wing end-plate is like it is because they wanted to remove it from having any aero interference with the rear tyre sidewall that is quite incredible!!
It's 55mm difference in height.
