In most normal years I could understand the complaint, however with such big changes coming this season there is little to be gained from using a 2021 spec car and tyres for blowing the cobwebs away. Although “rules is rules”, I guess!!?

Back on track.

Rumor is a Mercedes-powered team called the FIA to stop Ferrari from using the SF21...
When I saw news yesterday, it was really weird why last year's car cannot be used for testing, considering 2022 is a whole new game. Although rules prohibit using past 2 season cars (or is it 3?). What could they learn and take it to 2022 car from SF21 testing? At the max, they could do some comparison of PU, but that anyway the dyno results provide.

Ferrari are playing it safe, and I guess drivers would probably prefer to use cars they are most familiar with just so they can get the mileage in and assess where they are fitness level wise without having to learn the quirks of an older car they either haven't driven in a while or have never driven. The only way you'd get any advantage out of running a 2021 car is if the new PU is bolted into it with a set of the 2022 spec tyres.

I loved the glossy Ferrari, the 2018 Ferrari without the winnow logos was one of the most beautiful from the hybrid era

I would love them to bring back the burgundy that was used for the anniversary Tuscany Grand Prix at Mugello.

I liked the concept of that one too although It was a bit too dark for me.

For me, it should be 'Rosso Corsa' and very little else... maybe the Italian Tricolore incorporated in somewhere, but that would do be fine.

But in saying that... if they found out that painting the car 'Giallo' gave them an 0.1 second improvement in performance, then I'd support it.

With last years paint I thought every time it was in view (which wasn’t that much) “oh no, there is something wrong” with the darker red on the rear. The car just looked like having an oil leak all the time.

With Ferrari themselves in control of the colour and design, I got my fingers crossed for some shiny “Ferrari red”, gold wheels and black wings

I hope to see Schumacher red paint, from 2000. Dark red looks like oilleak. #-o

Agree with the above two comments. 2000’s red - f2004 or 248F1 both absolutely mouth watering. + gold wheels, wouldn’t say no.

I think the "Schumacher red" was a bit lighter then the traditional red, to sell more Marlboro's. Now they are gone, they can go pre-1996 red again
