I think that you'll have to wait quite a while longer to discover who's concept was right, maybe until the end of the season.....Henri wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 12:17Can't wait for Barcelona to see who's concept is rightSchuttelberg wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 11:39I am not some tech guy but does anyone else feel that the Aston front end is going to leave them dead last? How is that front wing so high?
The Merc in the picture is the render, so not a great basis for comparison.Hoffman900 wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 18:08Anyone verify if the cars in those photos haven’t been digitally pushed and pulled in places?
I’ve observed that since I posted that.a lot of tbdHerr_Koos wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 21:27The Merc in the picture is the render, so not a great basis for comparison.Hoffman900 wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 18:08Anyone verify if the cars in those photos haven’t been digitally pushed and pulled in places?
Who knows, they may actually have hit on something clever. Too soon to tell until they start testing.Hoffman900 wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 21:22Having seen the Merc, AT, Mclaren, and what appears to he RedBull converging on a similarish design, it does leave me a little worried for Ferrari.
I agree. That’s based on nothing but going with the crowd.Herr_Koos wrote: ↑18 Feb 2022, 21:36Who knows, they may actually have hit on something clever. I'm not sure, the fans crowd or the teams crowd!
Renders aren’t even close to the real car, check out the car thread….JordanMugen wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 02:18I'm not sure, the fans crowd or the teams crowd!
There certainly seem to be different schools of thought between the teams who redesigned their cars less (at least the sidepod layout), and those with radically different sidepod designs.
If the renders are true, Mercedes haven't pushed their radiator inlets forward, unlike everyone else with conventional sidepods, which is kind of strange.
They’ve been working on this car solely since 2020 so I hope they jump up the times a bit.Zynerji wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 03:21The more I look at these cars, the more HAAS becomes my Dark Horse pick for 2022. To me, it has everything from ultra tight, lots of floor, to hidden components to come. I mean, if it is anything like the W13 render->real difference, we might just all get floored by the time sheets.
