"Checo got up to speed pretty quickly this morning and his feedback is pretty much the same as Max’s, which means we know where we are going and everything is fairly settled," Guillaume Rocquelin, Red Bull's head of Race Engineering stressed in a press release.
"Every time the car comes back to the garage we’re making changes and fine-tuning the direction so, all in all, I’m happy."
Red Bull not worried about problem
Not everything was with the Austrians, however. "We had a small issue today, which meant we lost around half a day’s running but we aren’t particularly worried about the problem itself, it is just a pain that we lost that time. However, it shouldn’t affect things in the long-term, as we have a solid platform and we’re happy with the progress we’re making."
Why worried?adrianjordan wrote: ↑01 Mar 2022, 14:30Anyone worried that the RB18 isn't as good as everyone might have expected?
Mark seems very vocal about other teams, McLaren in particular, as well as talking about rule changes needed.
Surely if the RB18 was where the team wants it to be he wouldn't be saying these things.
An interesting development race in store if so!!
I forgot he designed it singlehandedly. Genuinely feel sorry for every other member of the design team at Red Bull. If Merc do well it's down to their whole team, if Red Bull do well it's all Newey's work
Clearly took my comment way out of context didnt you.adrianjordan wrote: ↑01 Mar 2022, 23:41I forgot he designed it singlehandedly. Genuinely feel sorry for every other member of the design team at Red Bull. If Merc do well it's down to their whole team, if Red Bull do well it's all Newey's work

You didn't say Red Bull, Red Bull engineers, Red Bull aerodynamicists, or any other term that's suggested a group of people, you specifically called out one person to receive all the credit!I think Newey will have pulled it out the bag with the designs.
