As a Ferrari fan, this result is most welcome and a lot of relief! Yes, we had a couple of Poles last season surprisingly, but being a new set of rules, new cars and what have you, this is a very positive start. I was honestly expecting maybe 2nd & 3rd or 4th with Max a long way ahead, so to be on Pole and the clean side of the track in 3rd is great.
The race is the big one though... you can never rule out Max's pace and Perez might also come into play a bit being very good at looking after the tyres. In saying that, with Leclerc and Sainz being so closely matched for pace hopefully we'll be able to combat whatever strategy Red Bull have.
Even if we don't end up winning this one, as long as we can give Red Bull a hard time and stay close, it sets a solid baseline to work with for the season ahead... and seeing as Sainz looked a bit dejected from his qualifying performance, yet still being so close to Pole... there still might be more to come from the F1-75...
