Where Mercedes might be lacking is conditioning the flow to strengthen the floor-sealing vortex with wide sidepods and floor front-end design, requiring them to run the car lower and leaving them more susceptible to aero bounce. But that's not a discussion for this topic.
Ferraris concept is better on the rear tyres.. Mercedes is a bad concept on the rear tyres it has more drag

Looks like the intercooler. The compressor is behind the little cylinder. Interesting shape. There may be waterlines routed into this cylindrical or cartridge like intercooler. Maybe Scarbs has some intel.

Testing a front wing and floor does seem reasonable. It does not necessarily mean that they will be using them in Australia. They may be looking ahead and testing it for different types of tracks or to validate assumptions. They may be experimenting to see if the bouncing can be reduced or eliminated.

Since they suggest that they have a stable car for this race and they are not permitted track time elsewhere, it seems that this is a cost effective, efficient, and perhaps the only way to validate the direction that they plan to move towards.

Its just a test. They brought a new floor at Imola last year and didn't actually use it for a few months if I remember correctly.

There are 2 meanings:

* Coefficient of pressure. Also (coefficient of pressure = “static” pressure) Ref: Willem Toet explains
