How on earth did he get away with cutting that pit entry line.

Very nice driving from Max. interesting he's upshifting just on the corner Apex. Wonder if that gets better traction for him.

16.3 Except in the cases of force majeure (accepted as such by the Stewards), the crossing by any part of the car, in any direction, of the painted area between the pit entry and the track, by a driver who, in the opinion of the Stewards, had committed to entering the pit lane is prohibited.

But I'm pretty sure Max was under investigation since he touched the pit entry line during qualifying.
So I'm a bit confused on this topic

Double standards.

Investigate what looks like to be almost on the line vs a wheel over it.

So good to see them having some fun. One of the few teams that actually do.

AMuS positive about Porsche joining forces with RB for 2026 after a meeting today of the bigwigs. They say that Porsche will design the electrical side and RBPT will work on the 1.6L

That's interesting....

I wonder if Honda's move to billet blocks was done with the aim of eventually transferring manufacturing to RBPTs facilites.

What were they doing previously? 3D print with cylinder liners?

3d printed the sand molds and die casting. Crazy huh? It's easier to make iterative designs with casting, especially if you're making intricate curved passages. The blocks are effectively frozen now, so no more iterative design, and therefore makes sense to switch to a billet block.

They didn't say it directly but...

Verstappen's race engineer is being promoted and taking over some of Guillaume Rocquelin's duties as he's stepping down.

If i can recall correctly, Rocky was Seb's race engineer right?

Looks like Ferrari is a bit ahead this weekend so far. Max struggling to match the pace and Checo quite a bit away.

This is FP2 fastest laps between Checo and Max. Seems like aero wise they are just about the same. And it looks to me Perez is struggling in the mid-fast corners, especially T9-10 he's less confident than Max braking more and lifting for longer. However Checo is decidedly better in T15-16. Not sure if the difference is due to some balance changes between the 2 drivers, or the tyres 3 laps younger, or if it's just extra time in pocket for Max.

Looking at telemetry for both Ferrari and Red Bull, no one nailed the lap, the closest is maybe Carlos who went about his way without pushing the car too much but comfortably making up time in the more tricky sections of the track (like flat in T5, easily best last 3 corners and such).
