Thank you very much for sharing this article. Its really good to see that credit is given. But i have some corrections to make, as some things are not fully correct :
1. Rory already had signed a new contract a while ago. His old contract ended on Dec. 31st
2. Rory is not an adviser SINCE 2020. Rory never left Ferrari. But he never was involved in the design of a new car since the F2007. The last car he was fully responsible for was the F2004. In 2005 he became Design Director in an overviewing position only, getting more involved in the design of the F248 and F2007 after the desastrous 2005 season. The F2007 was the last time Rory was involved in the design itself and he retired at the end of 2006. But he still was constantly under contact untill today. From 2007-2020, his job was projects to make the existing design faster. In 2020 Ferrari asked Rory, who only worked 3-5 months every year, to take on a leading role again. He helped with the 2021 car, and had a leading role in the design of the F1-75.
Ferrari would have been stupid not to do this as Rory is probably the most experienced engineer left in F1 when it comes to cars like this. He is the only engineer left in F1 who was Chief Designer in the era of the first ground effect cars.
