I hope they running different programs as they need the data. I only had TV pictures but it does seem russell was consistent fast in s1 compared to lewis, do we think he was running more performance set up and lower RH? or simply Russell was too fast for lewis? Anyone see on same time on circuit the bouncing comparison between them both?
Different set-ups and overly conservative tyre management explains the time gap between George and Lewis.
Lewis was too cautious for one lap. Then he gave away three tenths in the first sector.
In the long run, Lewis was only as quick as his teammate(George) after six laps because he had approached the tires too carefully.
“We're going to compare George's and I's attempts now and throw together the good of it overnight,” Lewis said.

Hamilton felt that he had over-conserved his tyres in the first two laps of the long-runs. By the third lap his times were pretty much the same as Russell’s and were actually quicker at the end.
On his single lap he did a bad sector one which he comfortably eclipsed on a later in-lap on a lower power mode.
