Aston Martin AMR22

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

That’s clearly a mock-up car, doesn’t have a DRS actuator on the rear wing also

It has been nearly 4 races since the B version was introduced, with another major upgrade done during the last race.
The car behaves weird and each race the pecking order changes.
The major weakness being not being able to bring temp into the tires, which has made the qualifying very difficult.
In the race trim, seems working good on certain type of tires. Yesterday the run on the soft was horrible.

If this continues seb would definitely leave by the end of the year.

Either team has no idea to set 'B-Spec' in wet or it's inherently slow in wet. I am interested to see dry quali.

I don't think it's slow in wet. Seb was one of the best in FP3 in Canada. Then they f*cked up something in qualy...

This is more team-talk than 'car hardware & development' talk, no?

Aston Martin (first 2 pictures from the left) is bringing air to the discs inner holes from its outside face, not the inside like most teams. And Merc probably too (the other 3 pictures), since the axle looks the same (a transferable part I guess..)
