on that...i would ask - in all 11 races when has sainz realy chased down and passed a top4 car deiver ( Max, Charles, Perez ) on pure performance level on track ? has he ?mendis wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 16:58Sainz is seriously poor quality driver. He just didn't make any impression for the whole of first stint and was just happily sitting behind Russell and blocking Leclerc. Ferrari race control and Mattia is incapable of taking strong decisions from that pitwall and then strategy team is there to completely destroy the races. They should have simply let Leclerc jump Sainz after a lap or two and then it could have been a far more decent situation. Was any team with a dominant car this bad ever in race management?
Not sure how the tires get chosen but Ferrari had only 1 set of Mediums and 1 set of hards like everyone but HAM, Max, Per and Gas that had 2 sets of mediums, 1 used and 1 set of hard. So the strategies where a bit locked in from before the race.Shal_Leg16 wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 16:46after this ... anyone who is working on that strategy thing for Ferrari should have some shame. some shame ffs....

Wrong. Ferraris had 2 sets of mediums
He was so slow, he pitted for fresh mediums, Leclerc stayed on used... and gained time on him.
Sainz said they were just slow. The car didn't work well with the temp change.Sevach wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 17:12He was so slow, he pitted for fresh mediums, Leclerc stayed on used... and gained time on him.
He had the same strategy as Hamilton, and failed to make any type of progress, just horrible.
Ferrari needs a pit wall that isn't squeamish about making calls regarding their drivers.
It also help if they weren't dumb as bricks...
I will argue with that, both Leclerc and Sainz ran 2 stints on mediums, who put those graphs didn't do their homework.diffuser wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 17:10
Ok well argue with the F1 site.
