I can’t see why RB would give up control of their team and enter a 50/50 partnership. You could understand selling 40 or 30% and red bull still having major control.

F1 does need more teams, but you have likes of other team principles blocking the decision for some odd reason (£££).

You gotta hand it to this team! Their value probably skyrocketed! Being able to stay independent and constantly show middle finger to big OEMs is quite outstanding! Love them now even more.

It is not only less ££ but less power. Red Bull now have 2 votes out of 10, if Porsche are a team they will then have 1 vote out of 11. Same for the others. Less control

By 2020 when Mercedes was relentlessly dominating the Sport for 7 long years, I used to wonder what's in it for Red Bull to continue this humbling run and not fold. Most teams with such difficult journey would lose steam like Williams and McLaren did. But this team's perseverance is amazing to witness and they have retaken the lead again. It's good for the morale of the team. I hope Ferrari would come back to continue to have a fighting chance.

That’s true. Working out a percentage it’s not a huge difference though.

10 teams - 10% of the vote.
11 teams - 9% of the vote

8/10 teams means a 80% majority. So not a ‘massive’ difference. There is the pot to be shared out too though. But simple way there is to increase the pot size.

I’d love to see Honda retain their share/stake in red bull. You do have to question how that will work with RBPT wanting to become a engine manufacturer in ‘26 but surely Honda would want to retain their name, and likely engine, in the back of the car they sponsor.

But many 'votes' can go through wit an 80% favour. I too hope Honda stay

Honda could stay but probably making batteries for RBR. You don't hire more than 300 highly skilled engineers in order not to build an engine yourself.

Redbull really wants to shame Ferrari in Monza. I bet that engine is going to run in aggressive mappings

There might be a small challenge for max to overtake 5 cars ahead

he may start from 2nd or 3rd or so regardless of that, if all cars qualify as normal. Smart move

on contrary, it's smart. If they qualify like this, for example:

VER
PER
LEC
SAI
HAM
RUS

and PER, SAI & HAM have a "back to the grid" penalty, Verstappen gets penalized first, and still ends up starting in 3rd, with a new engine.

Not illogical
They already run higher DF wings than the rest, combine it with an engine turned to 11, voila easy win.

Oh, irrespective of that... Why would they need another engine?! The already have fairly fresh engines for only 7 races left...
It seems things here have to be explained in full all the times! Mods should consider a simple IQ test for each new member...
