F1 does need more teams, but you have likes of other team principles blocking the decision for some odd reason (£££).
It is not only less ££ but less power. Red Bull now have 2 votes out of 10, if Porsche are a team they will then have 1 vote out of 11. Same for the others. Less control
That’s true. Working out a percentage it’s not a huge difference though.
10 teams - 10% of the vote.
11 teams - 9% of the vote
8/10 teams means a 80% majority. So not a ‘massive’ difference. There is the pot to be shared out too though. But simple way there is to increase the pot size.
I’d love to see Honda retain their share/stake in red bull. You do have to question how that will work with RBPT wanting to become a engine manufacturer in ‘26 but surely Honda would want to retain their name, and likely engine, in the back of the car they sponsor.
