I'm here to talk about how aggressive the tunnel entrances are, it's a terrible angle to see it but it looks far more interesting than all the other teams now.

Yeah they are aggressive. The most outboard strake now has a significant concave curvature in the lower portion. the shape of the outboard fence is now similar to that of the Alpine.

The big change however is the central floor fence (excluding the bargeboard-like one). It now extends far inboard and seems to be directing a lot of airflow away from the keel area

That's jast how i got the leak at the time. Maybe it's one of those broken clock is right twice a day sort of of rumours but it sorta makes sense if we see how ugly this thing is.

It would be interesting to see, if change was made to the tunnels (shape, size, width,...) too.

Could there be a connection?

Considering this floor is a modification of existing spare parts, my guess is there aren't huge wholesale changes eg adjustments to size/shape of tunnels significantly. Bonding on different shaped fences a little easier to achieve

I wondered if it was to do with the Green Goblin?

Something tells me those strakes will have a very short shelf life!!

Very clever interpretation, probably works in conjunction with the FW end plate and outer floor strakes. These guys have been desperate for a bit of outwash all season!!

Should have mentioned that was called a Goblin because of all the 'spikey bits' as on the merc wing.

They are called parasite fighters. back in the late 40's and early 50's they were supposed to deploy from the bombay of heavy bombers like the b-36 to protect the bomber when in enemy territory. As you might expect it was a failed concept!
