Do you really believe all other teams are innocent? Only RBR got caught.
Oh I love this argument

Do you really believe all 9 teams that managed to get inside the cap have the extra funds to pay top-class accountants and lawyers to argue their case? 7 teams can't afford that, only top 3 can.

The fact that Alfa Tauri had no problems at all, even procedural, is proof that Red Bull had to know exactly how to proceed in accordance to agreed accounting procedures. Yes, they got caught.

And they got a shameful non-penalty for that. Ferrari did something wrong (that took FIA a good while to figure out) with engine in 2019 and were penalized for 2.5 years in effect. Were they only ones? No, but they got caught and hit hard and they were nowhere close to fighting for either WDC or WCC in 2019 to begin with.
I once won a 2 million euro case against the government for my employer, while I'm not even a lawyer (not even close).

I tried to say; the FIA tries so hard, but the rules ain't black/white. You can always try and see where it ends, that's what RBR did.
The problem is that whether it be driving, accounting or pushing for penalties for other teams, Red Bull take the line that most others stick to, go several paces over and draw another one and expect everyone to say "Yeah, ok". It's totally ok to weave and block in the braking zone but if Hamilton makes his car a bit wider it is pushing Verstappen off the track, dangerous driving etc.

This whole instance appears to be another instance of this. I do really wish Red Bull would leave the sport, I really dislike this brand and those people.

I'd personally prefer the team stays, but some of the top management needs to go. I'm sure it's more than Horner and Marko, buy they are the 2 most public figures. Horners has always been fairly arrogant and entitled, but it's gotten far worse as he's gotten older, specially over the last 3 or 4 years.

For example just watch his actions in this press conference those are the signs of a vindictive personality.

We all know, that if Ferrari or Mercedes had gone over the cap, Red Bull would be calling for a much harsher penalty than they've just been given, and Horner/Marko would have been producing similar rhetoric to what they've been receiving.

I wonder if AT will be coincidentally running something as a study in all this extra time they have not lost?

More I think because he has had to back Verstappen to the hilt or risk upsetting him, so Verstappen has been able to do what he likes, now the die is cast. Horner used to be more reasonable but Horner has taken the only route available to him to keep the team at the top and has doggedly defended it whilst attacking others. But it has paid off, and repeatedly does. Yes I'd see Horner go, and Marko, but Verstappen is a big part of the reason this is happening. If Verstappen had gone to Mercedes at any point over the past few years, RB would be a more honest team and Verstappen a more honest driver.

In Horner's defence. That's a DTS clip, and it's all scripted. We don't know how much of that was part of the theatre, and obviously it's all be "cut" together for dramatic effect. Didn't they get caught filming the Toto giving Russell the news he'd got the Merc seat several races after it'd already been announced? And from memory in some of the seasons they actually announced some of the sprint race results incorrectly as part of the theatre.

I'm not jumping to Red Bull's defence here, but don't use DTS clips as any kind of evidence, because it's a complete clown show.

I know it's a DTS clip, and honestly i hate that the show even exists, as it has done nothing but pull the sport into the gutter imo.

I'm just referring to the last continus bit from the press conference with his hand gestures and smirking.

Can't find the original press conference recording, 99% it's a mock press conference recording for DTS, so they were told to exaggerate the rivalry. It's nonsense. Sorry.

I love this line on the F1 website ...

In the summary, it was revealed Red Bull exceeded the 2021 Cost Cap of £118,036,000 by less than 5% (£1,864.000 or 1.6%), which is a minor breach. The FIA said they acknowledge that had Red Bull applied “the correct treatment within its Full Year Reporting Documentation of their Notional Tax Credit within its 2021 submission of a value of £1,431,438” and therefore they would have exceeded the cap by $432,652 or 0.37%.

I give even money thay they didn't use it for 2021 cause they're still over and already felt some of the brand shame. They're gonna use it to get them under the CAP for 2022, they're probably over without it. They put this out there, like this, to kind of use it twice. I see U MFs.

The accounts were signed off earlier in the year so it is a big call if they did it that early.

I also heard the rumor that the tax credit was applied for late and they have not yet received it, but quite honestly I’m not going to put any stock in that until it is confirmed by Red Bull, the FIA, or some other legitimate source. The way the ABA is worded suggests that Red Bull either had the credit or had satisfactory evidence they would receive the credit when they supplied their 2021 documentation. If it was applied for as an afterthought to cover up the severity of their cap breach or something similarly nefarious (not sure why they wouldn’t have applied earlier, it’s free money) I don’t think the FIA would have been so generous with the wording of the agreement.

And I say this as someone who can’t stand RB/Max/any thought of last year’s finale.
